Code of Conduct
Respect and Safety:
goHADR.com events can involve challenging and unpredictable situations. Trust, respect, and a commitment to safety are essential. Participants are expected to contribute to a safe and supportive environment for all.
Substance Use:
Alcohol and drugs can impair judgment and physical coordination, posing serious risks during events. Participants must not arrive at events under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you suspect that this might be the case for yourself or another participant, inform the event organizer immediately.
The consumption of alcohol is not permitted during events. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding drug use; suspected possession or use of illegal drugs will result in immediate removal from the event.
Mutual Respect:
Acts of violence, harassment, or any form of discrimination, including sexual harassment, will not be tolerated. This applies to interactions with both participants and the public. Offensive conduct that harms morale or interferes with the effectiveness of our events, such as inappropriate comments or unwanted physical contact, is strictly prohibited.
Our goal is to conduct events with respect for all individuals, regardless of gender, age, religion, sexuality, culture, or ethnicity.
Safety First:
Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others. Reckless behavior that endangers others will be taken seriously and may result in removal from the event. We expect participants to look out for each other and prioritize safety at all times.
In Case of Emergency:
goHADR.com events have established safety protocols and emergency procedures. Participants must adhere to the instructions of the event organizers to ensure the safety of all. In emergencies, first aid may be administered by organizers who are not licensed medical providers. While efforts are made to ensure informed decisions, participants are encouraged to remain vigilant about their own safety and that of others. Good Samaritan actions are appreciated, but participants should not put themselves or others at undue risk.
Right of Refusal:
goHADR.com and its event organizers reserve the right to refuse participation at any time due to safety concerns, logistical limitations, or team compatibility.
Right of Dismissal:
A participant may be removed from an event if their behavior compromises the safety, objectives, or performance of the team; if they have misrepresented their qualifications or medical conditions; or if they have violated stated policies or laws. In such cases, the participant is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their departure from the event.
